Garage lighting

We just bought the lighting for the exterior of our garage. 

Foyer Lighting

Check out the Drum Light I purchased from Pottery Barn Kids (with the gift card I won for Mother's Day)...it is going in our foyer...it just arrived and I LOVE it!!!

Countertop Decisions.....

After a ton of flip-flopping.....I have finally decided on the counters!!!

I am so excited because we were able to get recycled glass remnants in the color I want for our guest bath and Emerson's bath!!  Here it is!!  It is called Ice Stone, and the color is Sky Pearl.  It is absolutely beautiful!!  It is an eco-friendly countertop made from recycled glass and in this case bits of shell.  It is going to look amazing in our nautical bathrooms!!

Below is the amazing nautical lighting going in these bathrooms (Emerson's and guest)....I ordered them with the gift card I won from Pottery Barn Kids!!

Our kitchen counters will be the cold spring granite on the left in the picture below: (This was a very tough decision for me).   :)

And the master bath will have White Carerra Marble: 

We will be in our house by the end of November!!

The Plumbing is in!!!

Inspection this afternoon, footers tomorrow, foundation Friday or Monday and framing next week!!!  We will be in the house in 4-5 months!!

Tile and Flooring

We had another great design meeting this morning!!  There is so much going on right now.  They are laying our foundation today!!  We are changing some of our earlier selections: master bath lighting, Emerson's bath lighting, outdoor lighting, master bath faucets and the countertops are still up in the air.  I am really excited about the flooring and tile we selected today!

First, these are the most up to date drawings of the exterior of our house!!

Now, let's move on the Master Bath!

The picture below is our bathroom floor color (gray) (the tile will be rectangle rather than square), our bath cabinet color (not style...it will be a shaker style cabinet) and the color of our shower wall tile (white with gray accents), which sill also be rectangle.

This is the shower floor tile and tub surround, but it will have white grout.

Here is a picture of the shower tile with the grout:

Next is Emerson's bathroom, guest bath and laundry room.

Here is the tile floor with the cabinet color (the style will be beadboard cabinets).

Kitchen:

This is the kitchen backsplash tile shown with our cabinet color (again shaker style cabinet).  

It will be a white subway tile with white grout.
